Social Change By Steven Vago Torrent (epub) Free Rar Book

In this article, Steven Vago discusses how social change can be accomplished through a series of steps- from "thinking differently" to "doing something difficult". In addition to his suggestion for social change, he also gives a personal example of his own journey as a person who has been on the front lines of social change. In order to achieve this type of change, it is imperative that those involved have adequate knowledge on what really makes people tick. This includes an understanding of your subject's motives and emotions, as well as the human psyche and behavioral patterns. This insight allows for a more effective approach and can help to predict and manipulate outcomes and events. Steven Vago states that, "To move too early is to be impetuous; to move too late is to be irrelevant." The next step in social change is what Steven Vago calls the 'Dare'. This step requires the 'change agent' or individual seeking social change to get out of their comfort zone and pursue a course of action that will either force people into thinking differently or doing something difficult. This is a controversial approach, and can alienate and alienate people in an effort to make social change. The final step in social change is what Steven Vago calls the "Festival", which he considers "the ability to move beyond externalities and engage one’s internal resources". This final step requires the 'change agent' to reach a state of connection with their subject or audience in such a way that they can easily identify with the change agent. This is one of Steven Vago's most important points when discussing social change, since without this level of connection, your subjects may not enact the appropriate behavior desired by you Steven Vago argues for a more structured approach to social change. Change agents must be able to appreciate the potential for change in their society and do what is necessary to open the way for it. Change agents must connect with their society on a deep level by tapping its deepest beliefs and emotions. Steven Vago argues that the media plays a crucial role in social change, especially in our era of mass communication. He argues that media can either help or hinder social change depending on how it is presented. He offers several examples of this, including comparing Dr. Martin Luther King's use of non-violence to attain his goals with Malcom X's more aggressive approach. Flores, Andrea (September 2003).
